The School of Social Work at McMaster University

Both the undergraduate and graduate programs are organized to reflect the School’s emphasis on the social structuring of individual and community problems and on social work’s commitment to enhancing social justice and challenging oppression.

Undergraduate Program

The McMaster School of Social Work aims to provide the environment and learning resources for students to prepare themselves for the general practice of social work. Study is based on a search for the principles of social justice. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to join the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Graduate Programs

The School of Social Work offers two MSW programs, a PhD program and a Graduate Diploma.
